definition:
in a family of multiple children, "queen's relief" refers to a birthing order in which the youngest child is male, and all the children borth before him are female.
usages:
"queen's relief" may refer to the youngest son, or all the siblings together.

notes:
this term is inspired by thinking about the duty of the queen-consort to provide heirs for the king. if a son is born first, the duty is fulfilled in providing an heir. if the queen births daughters, she must keep birthing until the king has a son.
